My grandma is 91 years old. She came up to the US from Bolivia to get her vaccination and spent a few months with us.

She’s a firecracker and more lively than most 50-year-olds I’ve met. Two years ago I noticed her car’s safety belt alarm wasn’t going off, and she told me she cut the wires herself lol. Age comes for everyone though, and yesterday I had to drop her off with the wheelchair assistants at the airport so she can return home.

I’m hoping she can make it back to the US at 92 next May 2022 to see me graduate. 9 months to go...

🧠 Mindset

Protect your time like it’s all you have…

⚙️ System

At $167.88/yr, I̶’̶l̶l̶ my brother will pay Netflix $10,576.44 over the next 63 years so I can avoid around 9.4 months worth of ads.

Would you pay $10,000 to extend your life by 9 months?

Extending your life is pretty hard retroactively though, so a better exercise is to figure out where you’re wasting your time and cut it out ruthlessly.

At work, most of my time was wasted in meetings.

At school and while entrepreneuring (coining that term), I found that I was spending hours just SCHEDULING meetings. Who knew seeing each other’s calendars was one of the biggest perks of working at a corporation.

🛠 Tool

For some reason it’s controversial, but I’m one of those people that says “you can use this link to find a time that works”. I use Calendly to do that.

I use the Pro plan to have workflows and different “types” of meetings, but you can get started with the free plan.

I have a default invite that is programmed to 15 minutes, and sends out the quote “The longer the meeting, the less is accomplished.” by Tim Cook.

In the next few weeks, I’ll announce paid 1:1 consultations with me that you’ll be able to book through Calendly (and how to do it too). Newsletter subscribers get first dibs 😉.
